Halloween is an extremely popular holiday that takes over the country every October.  And it’s no wonder why so many people enjoy it with all of the different activities and parties that take place!  Here are some fun Halloween events in Brownsville, TX that you should check out.

Safety Night Out

Thursday – 10/25/2018 – 6 PM to 9 PM 

The Fort Brown Border Patrol Station will be hosting a fun Halloween party for kids at Cromack Elementary School.  Kids will get to meet local Law Enforcement and First Responders as they learn best safety practices for Halloween and during the rest of the year.

 

Historical Happy Hour: “Stranger Things” Halloween Party

Friday – 10/26/18 – 5 PM to 7 PM 

Are you a fan of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things?  Then join the Brownsville Historical Association at the La Carcel (Old Country Jail) for a themed happy hour with prizes awarded to best Halloween and Stranger Things costumes.  Must be 21 or older, register at 956-548-1313.

 

Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Show

Friday & Saturday – 10/26 & 10/27 – 7 PM to 9:30 PM 

Come out to the Veterans Memorial ECHS Cafeteria for the ‘Did Someone Say Murder?’ Theatre Performance.  Tickets start around $15 and you can enjoy a delicious 3-course meal as you search for clues to find out who the murderer is.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5K Zombie Run and Monster Mile

Saturday – 10/27/18 – 5 PM to 8 PM 

Dress up like a scary zombie or in your Halloween costume and join the run for a good cause!  You can register online here.  The registration fee also covers admission to the Tip of Texas Family Outreach’s haunted house that will be available after the run.

 

Murder, Mystery, Mayhem Tour

Saturday – 10/27/18 – 8 PM to 9:30 PM 

Want to get creeped out by some haunted stories?  Then come out to the Old City Cemetery for some spooky histories about the inhabitants of the cemetery.  Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for non-members of the Brownsville Historical Association, register at 956-548-1313.

 

29th Annual Boo at the Zoo

Tuesday & Wednesday – 10/30 & 10/31 – 6 PM to 9 PM 

Bring the kids out to the Gladys Porter Zoo for their annual Halloween event—visitors of any age are encouraged to wear a costume.  Attendees can enjoy over 50 game and treat stations throughout the zoo as they get to say “happy Halloween” to all of the animals.
