Engine Equipment

The heart of the 2020 Nissan Sentra is a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission. It will make 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel-drive is the only drivetrain available. The amount of power that is produced by the 2020 Sentra represents 20 percent more horsepower and 17 percent more torque.

Nissan engineers have also lowered the sedan’s center of gravity to help drivers take full advantage of this increase in performance through an enhanced handling profile.

Fuel Economy Scores

In most cases, an increase in performance output would mean a drop in fuel economy scores. Nissan’s improvements to the engine of the 2020 Sentra have managed to deftly avoid this issue. The 2020 Nissan Sentra is available in three trim grades, S, SV and SR. Charlie Clark Nissan customers choosing the S and SV versions can expect their 2020 Sentra to record 29 miles per gallon in the city* and 39 miles per gallon on the highway*. The top of the line SR trim grade is reported to make 28 miles per gallon in the city* and 37 miles per gallon in the city*.

You can start the pre-ordering process for the 2020 Nissan Sentra before it goes on sale by making an appointment with a Charlie Clark Nissan product expert today.

*2020 EPA Fuel Economy 29 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 33 mpg combined for S and SV grades, and 28 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined for the SR grade. Actual mileage may vary with driving conditions – use for comparison only.
